Handan issues emergency emission reduction measures for heavy pollution weather

According to the Handan Ecological Environment Bureau, it is expected that severely polluted weather may occur in Handan from October 23 to 27. The Municipal Emergency Response Headquarters for Heavy Pollution Weather decided to initiate Level Ⅲ emergency response from 12:00 on October 22 to 24:00 on October 24, and upgrade to Level Ⅱ emergency response from 0am on the 25th to 8:00am on the 28th. The city shall strictly follow the relevant requirements of emergency emission reduction and implement various emission reduction measures.
From October 22 to October 28, 2020, Handan will implement the production load of blast furnaces in strict accordance with the Handan's Key Industry Production Control Plan in October-December of 2020. On the basis of the existing production control load, the control of sintering machines will be tightened to 50% of the production limit load. All independent pellet plants ceased production during the period of strengthening management and control.
The coking industry in Handan will extend the coking time to 48 hours from October 22 to October 28, 2020, and the coking time of the gas supply enterprises involved in the people's livelihood (Yuzhou, Xinsheng) shall not be less than 36 hours.
From October 22 to October 28, 2020, the two thermal power companies of Handan Power and Matou Power strive to arrange maintenance of one unit under the conditions of ensuring safe production; other power companies strive to reduce their production load by more than 20%.
