In September, molybdenum raw material prices edged up in overseas market with improving demand and those moved up in Chinese market supported by strong demand. Prices for Chinese molybdenum concentrate continued going up slightly with active downstream demand. Prices for Chinese ferromolybdenum moved up with rising raw material molybdenum concentrate prices. Chinese ammonium molybdate market witnessed increasing prices due to higher raw material cost and limited transactions. Prices for sodium molybdate, ammonium heptomolybdate and high-purity molybdenum oxide edged up, leading to scarce deals. Supported by higher raw material cost, molybdenum powder prices showed an uptrend.
