Shanxi releases peak-shifting production plan for autumn and winter of 2020-2021

Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi and the Department of Ecology and Environment of Shanxi jointly issued a notice of peak-shifting production plan for autumn and winter of 2020-2021.
The notice claimed that the range of this peak-shifting production consists of major industries and enterprises (processes) that might cause air pollution, including iron and steel, nonferrous, coking, chemical, construction materials (bricks and tiles, refractory, ceramics, lime, cement clinker and grinding plants) and casting industry. Specifically, enterprises that are assessed as D-level based on the guidelines for emergency and emission reduction measures implementation on major industries during heavy pollution weather released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment or don't complete transformation task of management should suspend production; enterprises that are assesses as C-level or not demonstrations should conduct peak-shifting production; enterprises that are assessed as level of A, B or B- or demonstrations for various aspects and plants that are assessed as green ones by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology could not take peak-shifting production measures.
The notice pointed out that the period for peak-shifting production is from November 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021.
