China's 610 million tons of crude steel production capacity undergoing ultra-low emission transformation

Liu Bingjiang, Director of the Department of Atmospheric Environment of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, pointed out on September 26 that China's steel industry is currently progressing in ultra-low emission transformation beyond expectations. China's 228 steel companies are implementing ultra-low emission transformation of 610 million tons of crude steel production capacity.
Liu Bingjiang pointed out that among the above-mentioned enterprises that are implementing ultra-low emission transformation, 159 companies in key areas have a crude steel production capacity of about 450 million tons. In addition, 82 companies in key areas (330 million tons of crude steel production capacity, accounting for 60% of the total production capacity in key areas) are conducting assessment and monitoring work. The steel enterprises affiliated to Shougang, TISCO, HBIS, Ansteel, Jianlong Group, Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes are all conducting assessment and monitoring.
