Coal exports at Hampton Roads in US decrease in Aug

According to recent data released by the Virginia Maritime Association, in August, coal export volume at the Hampton Roads Wharf in Virginia, USA, fell by 26.8% MOM, while that in July increased by 47.7% MOM.
In August, coal export volume at the Hampton Roads Wharf was 1.68 million short tons (1.5241 million tons), down by 42.8% YOY. This export volume was the second lowest in the past four years, only higher than the 1.55 million short tons in June this year.
From January to August, coal export volume at the Hampton Roads Wharf totaled 18.19 million short tons, down by 21.6% YOY.
