Guangdong realizes discharge permits full coverage for stationary pollution sources

According to the Department of Ecological Environment of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Province basically realized the full coverage of pollution discharge permits for stationary pollution sources in 2020. It is reported that since the implementation of the national emission permit system in 2017, Guangdong has issued 35,200 emission permits.
Since the beginning of this year, in accordance with the unified deployment of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Guangdong Province has focused on the goal of full coverage of pollution discharge permits, and accelerated the cleaning up and rectification of pollution discharge permits for stationary pollution sources and the certification and registration work in 2020. This year, 661,500 stationary pollution sources have been found, 22,600 pollution discharge permits have been issued, 2,994 rectification notices have been issued, 385,800 enterprises have finished pollution discharge registration and 250,100 enterprises have been classified and marked under special circumstances. The issuing rate and registration rate of pollution discharge permits have reached 100%.
