Suntech's 500MW high-efficiency cell module integration project in Indonesia put into commercial production

On September 16, Suntech announced that its 500MW high-efficiency photovoltaic cell module integration project in the Indonesian production base was officially put into commercial production, which is to meet the demand for photovoltaic products in the U.S. and Indonesia markets. This production also marks that Suntech's planned global production capacity has exceeded 10GW.
As the first enterprise to obtain the qualification of localization factory construction in the Indonesian market, Suntech Indonesia base has the production capacity of 500MW cells and 500MW modules. It can produce 158-166mm multi-grid cells and is able to produce 182mm super-size cells in the future. In the later stage, the capacity of the base will be gradually expanded, and that for cells and modules is expected to reach 1GW at the end of 2020 respectively.
