Senior Technology to set up a subsidiary in Sweden

On the evening of September 15, Senior Technology announced that in March 2020 the company unveiled its strategic cooperation agreement with Northvolt and a supplemental announcement, planning to invest no more than RMB2 billion (USD0.29 billion) in building a Li-ion battery membrane plant in Europe to expand its business in the European market. At present, the company has decided to set up a Sweden-based fully owned subsidiary Senior Technology (Europe) Co., Ltd. (tentative, to be finalized upon government approval) with a registration capital of SEK25,000 (USD19,142) for commencing construction of phase one project of the European plant. About RMB130 million (USD19.20 million) will be invested into the phase one project for construction of four coating membrane production lines with an annual production capacity of about 90 million square meters of coating membrane.
