National Energy Administration approves construction of three coal mine projects in Xinjiang

The National Energy Administration issued a notice on September 15, saying it agreed to replace coal production capacity and approve three coal mine projects in Xinjiang, with a total annual capacity of 3.6 million tons, so as to boost the construction of large coal bases in Xinjiang, ensure stable energy supply, optimize the coal industry structure and promote local economic and social development.
Among them, the first phase of Baiyanghe Mine project in Baiyanghe mining area in Changji City has an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons, and the supporting coal preparation plant with the same capacity will be constructed. The total investment of the project is RMB1.504 billion (USD222 million), excluding mining right fees.
Yuxin Coal Mine project in Sukunur District, Yangxia Mining area, Bazhou has an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons, and the supporting coal preparation plant with the same capacity will be built. The total investment of the project is RMB1.375 billion (USD203 million), excluding mining right fees.
The first phase of Taohe Mine project in Heshtolugai mine area has an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons, and the supporting coal preparation plant with the same capacity will be built. The total investment of the project is RMB1.186 billion (USD175 million), excluding mining right fees.
