Prices of non-grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China went up further during this month mainly supported by the increase in steel mills' list prices and the price increase of other steel products like CRC, and those of grain oriented electrical steel were generally stable. Mainstream steel mills such as Baosteel, WISCO and Ansteel all announced to lift their list prices of NGO electrical steel produced in August. However, as the demand from downstream industries did not become better, the market sales performance continued to be unsatisfying. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles.
