Profits of industrial enterprises above designated size down by 12.8% YOY in China in H1 2020

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide reached RMB2.51149 trillion (USD358.71 billion) in the first half of 2020, down by 12.8% year on year, and the decreased range shrank by 6.5 percentage points compared with that in the first five months of 2020.
In the first half of 2020, the profits of mining industry were RMB164.7 billion (USD23.52 billion), down by 41.7% YOY; those of manufacturing were RMB2.1223 trillion (USD303.12 billion), down by 9.8% YOY; those of production and supply industries of power, heating, gas and water were RMB224.5 billion (USD32.06 billion), down by 8.7% YOY.
