    1 Market Highlights

Cobalt raw materials arrived at the ports late this month, so the worry of tight raw materials got eased, leading to flat prices for cobalt raw materials.

The operating rate of alloy and magnet producers did not rise substantially, so the demand for cobalt metal and cobalt powder was weak and prices of the two materials fell under pressure.

In terms of power vehicle market, with stable operating rate for power battery companies, precursor plants only purchased raw material cobalt sulfate in small volumes, so cobalt sulfate prices dropped.

The 3C market moved steadily, but prices for raw materials cobalt chloride and cobalt tetroxide were hard to maintain as downstream consumers strongly forced down prices.

Orders of ceramic and pigment producers did not rise expected, so producers only purchased raw material cobalt oxide in small volumes, leading to lower prices for cobalt oxide.
