Tangshan further strengthens response to recent pollution weather

The Office of the Leading Group for Ecological Environment Protection Work of Tangshan announced on July 9 that, a new round of moderate to severe pollution will occur in Tangshan after July 9. To deal with the pollution process, reduce the pollution index and improve the ambient air quality, after consultation with the Meteorological Bureau of Tangshan, based on the "Air Quality Enhancement and Guarantee Plan in July Tangshan", strict control measures will be taken from 18:00 on July 9 to 18:00 on July 13, including:
1. Iron and steel enterprises should resume implementation of the "Air Quality Enhancement and Guarantee Plan in July in Tangshan", improve the efficiency of the operation of pollution prevention facilities and minimize the emission of pollutants.
2. Independent lime kilns, independent hot rolling lines, brick kilns, casting, grinding station and mixing station should strictly implement the emission reduction measures of "Emergency Notice for Strengthening Management and Control" issued on July 5.
3. Coking enterprises with the performance evaluation level of "C" should keep the coking time of not less than 32 hours. Guoyi Coking and Baoliyuan Coking with coke dry quenching process under overhaul should keep the coking time not less than 48 hours.
