1. Market Highlights
Encouraged by the higher raw materials prices, CRC and HGI coil prices in Chinese leading markets rebounded by RMB100-200/t (USD14-29/t) in June. However, the markup was narrowed a little bit compared with May. With the demand from home appliance industries growing slightly and prices moving up, steel mills showed increasing willingness on CRC and HGI coil for July production. Upon the increased production cost, steel mills like Baowu Group, Ansteel, Bengang Steel and Shougang Steel announced to hike CRC and HGI coil prices for July production.
In the international market, CRC and HGI coil market in many Asian countries like Malaysia, Vietnam and India continued to run slowly in June with falling prices due to the limited demand from downstream industries. Chinese CRC and HGI coil export prices kept going up this month as steel mills in China showed more confidence in the export market seeing rising prices in domestic market.
