    1. Market Highlights

    Due to the tight supply in the spot market, Chinese tantalum concentrate and niobium concentrate import prices showed uptrend in May. Chinese tantalum oxide and niobium oxide, ferroniobium prices increased accordingly this month due to higher production costs.

    European tantalite market prices increased in May due to the limited supply. As most consumers held back from placing orders, European ferroniobium and American tantalum metal market prices decreased further in May.
