In May, prices for raw material chrome ore increased. Affected by this, prices for HC ferrochrome, silicochromium and LC ferrochrome all showed an uptrend.

As downstream demand didn't improve, chrome metal producers lowered their prices slightly for sales promotion. Thus, chrome metal prices edged down this month.Asian Metal Copyright1.Asian Metal Copyright FOB China prices for chrome metal also edged down due to weak overseas demand.

This month, due to tight supply of overseas chrome ore, Chinese chrome ore sellers at ports kept their offers firm and prices for chrome ore in Chinese ports moved up. Overseas sellers raised their quotations, so CIF China prices for chrome ore rose.
