Germany to provide EUR5 billion subsidy to car purchasers

Sources said that the Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany intends to issue a EUR5 billion car purchase subsidy plan.
The Ministry proposed that consumers who purchase electric vehicles or traditional power cars worth lower than EUR77,350 are entitled to the subsidies.
The Ministry plans to provide a basic subsidy of EUR2,500 per vehicle with additional EUR500 to energy efficient vehicles. According to the existing subsidy plan, subsidy for electric vehicle increases by EUR1,500 with additional EUR750 for hybrid electric vehicles.
