On the morning of May 30, the 16GW high-efficiency solar module project of Jinko Solar (Yiwu) was put into operation.
The contract of the project was officially signed on September 13, 2019, with a total investment of RMB11 billion (USD1.55 billion) and a land area of about 900 mu. The project is divided into two phases, which are mainly used for the R&D, manufacturing and sales of solar modules and photovoltaic derivatives. The first phase of the project was started on March 3, 2020, and the installation of the production line and trial production were completed on May 18. The second phase of the project is planned to start construction in August 2020 and achieve the target output in February 2022. After the completion of the whole project, the annual output value will be about RMB30 billion (USD4.21 billion).
