Dongying to achieve mass production of high-performance alumina fiber

Shandong Dongheng Guoxian New Material Co., Ltd. is installing equipment for the high-performance alumina fiber project in full swing.
Located in Dongying economic and technological development zone, the project would have production capacities of 1,000 tons of high-performance alumina short fiber products and 100 tons of high-performance alumina continuous fiber products with a total investment of RMB600 million (USD83.82 million). Its capacity for short fiber products is expected to account for 7% of the total capacity in the world. The first phase of the project with an investment of RMB130 million (USD18.16 million) would include two production lines for high-performance alumina short fiber, realizing a production capacity of 500 tons per year.
Currently, the first phase project is under construction. The adhesive platform for the two production lines has been built and the equipment is being installed and calibrated. The whole project is expected to be completed by the end of June, and the trial production will start in July. After reaching full capacity, the project will see an annual output value of RMB1.5 billion (USD0.21 billion).
