Canada launches first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset reviews on Chinese crystalline silicon photovoltaic products

On May 22, 2020, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) respectively announced the initiation of the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation against imports of crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and laminates produced in or imported from China. The Canadian customs code of the product involved is 85414000.22.
On December 5, 2014, at the request of a Canadian photovoltaic materials producer, CBSA decided to initiate an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation against imported crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and laminates from China. On March 5, 2015, the CBSA made a preliminary ruling on the case. On July 3, 2015, CITT made a final judge of the industrial damage in the case.
