Antimony prices fluctuated in a small range in April. Domestic supply of antimony ingot increased compared with that in March and the operating rate rose with some private plants in Hunan resuming production. However, the antimony trioxide market saw weak demand as domestic consumers only purchased from hand to mouth, therefore, some antimony trioxide plants gradually cut or halt production, leading to less supply. Upstream suppliers held prices firm due to thin profit resulted from tight supply of antimony concentrate while end consumers only purchased on demand with pessimistic attitude towards market outlook.
