Shandong cuts more coal production capacity

In parallel with efforts on COVID-10 prevention and economic resumption, Shandong province expedites cutting local coal production capacity. After it closed 2.4 million tons of coking production capacity in March, recently another five local companies including Shandong Shiji Tongtai Coking Co., Ltd. shut down their coking facilities, cutting 3.7 million tons of coking capacity in total. Shandong province aims to cut coal consumption of 37 million tons in 2020 by shutting down coking and smelting plants, steel mills and coal-consuming power units.
