    1. Market Highlights

    This month, prices for raw material chrome ore increased affected by the pandemic in South Africa. Supported by high production cost, prices for HC ferrochrome, silicochromium and LC ferrochrome showed an uptrend.

    As downstream demand was soft, chrome metal producers lowered their prices for sales promotion due to inventory pressure. Thus, chrome metal prices edged down this month.Asian Metal Copyright .Asian Metal Copyright FOB China prices for chrome metal edged down due to weak overseas demand.

    This month, shored up by tight supply of overseas chrome ore, chrome ore sellers in Chinese ports kept their prices firm and prices for chrome ore in ports moved up; overseas sellers raised their quotations, CIF China prices for chrome ore rose.
