Prices of both non-grain oriented electrical steel and grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China kept the downward trend during this month because of the decrease in steel mills' list prices and weak demand. Mainstream steel mills such as Baosteel, WISCO and Ansteel announced to reduce their list prices of NGO electrical steel produced in May. Besides, customers were mostly purchasing materials for urgent need and the market sales performance continued to be unsatisfying. Traders had to further decrease prices due to the high sales pressure.
