AM Stats: China's consumption of domestic bauxite down by 3.92% MOM in Mar

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Apr 20 - According to Asian Metal Database, China's consumption volume of domestic bauxite was about 5.51 million tonnes in March 2020, down by 3.92% MOM and 33.11% YOY. From January to March, China consumed about 18.1 million tonnes of the material, down by 26.71% from the same period of last year.
Based on the data, Shanxi consumed about 1.85 million tonnes of domestic bauxite in March, down by 20.65% MOM, and Guangxi consumed about 1.39 million tonnes of the material, unchanged from the previous month. Henan consumed about 1.25 million tonnes of domestic bauxite in the month, up by 28.35% MOM, and Guizhou consumed about 780,000 tonnes, unchanged from the prior month.
