Triumph Group to construct CdTe thin-film solar cell project in Laixi Economic Development Zone

On 2 April, Triumph Group, a member of China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM), held an online signing ceremony for its CdTe thin-film solar cell project, marking that the project was formally settled in Laixi Economic Development Zone.
With a total investment of RMB4 billion (USD0.56 billion) from Triumph Group of CNBM, the project covers an area of about 500mu and plans to construct CdTe thin-film solar cell production lines with an annual production capacity of 600MW in two phases. The products will be used for construction of building integrated photovoltaic, photovoltaic wall, photovoltaic road and ground photovoltaic power station. The first phase project will construct a 300MV-per-annum CdTe thin-film solar cell production line and supporting facilities, expecting to see an annual production value of about RMB1.3-1.5 billion (USD0.18-0.21 billion) after completion.
