Under the coronavirus outbreak all over the world, the demand for CRC and HGI coil kept reducing significantly in March. Prices of CRC and HGI coil in Chinese leading market recorded a decline of around RMB400/t (USD56/t) and RMB250/t (USD35/t) respectively this month. In addition, the price decrease accelerated in late March amid the pessimism at home and abroad.
In the international market, CRC and HGI coil prices in Malaysia, Vietnam and India were on the downward trend when the COVID-19 became serious. Most countries in Asia began to lock down to fight against the disease in late March, so there were few buying activities. CRC and HGI coil export prices from China went down sharply discouraged by the obviously reduced demand from overseas markets .
