Japan expects 60 million tons of domestic steel consumption in 2020

According to statistics of Japan Iron and Steel Federation, Japan's domestic steel consumption volume would decline by 0.5% from 2019 to around 60 million tons in 2020. Specifically speaking, the consumption volume of conventional steel would decrease by 0.4% to around 47.5 million tons and that of special steel would decrease by 0.2% to around 12.5 million tons.
