On 19 March, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a video demonstration meeting on the construction program of National Rare Earth Functional Materials Innovation Center that is jointly established by Jiangxi Rare-Earth Functional Materials Manufacturing Innovation Center and Inner Mongolia Rare Earth Functional Materials Innovation Center Co., Ltd.
Having an in-depth discussion about the construction program, experts deemed the construction program of National Rare Earth Functional Materials Innovation Center is in conformity with relevant national requirements on manufacturing industry innovation center and delivered a positive result.
National Rare Earth Functional Materials Innovation Center was initiated by Jiangxi University of Science and Technology and Guorui Kechuang Rare Earth Functional Materials Co., Ltd., the center's operation body, was set up by 16 parties with a total investment of RMB100 million (USD14.12 million) under the lead of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, including China Northern Rare Earth (Group) Hi-tech Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited, China Southern Rare Earth Group Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Province Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Baotou Rare Earth R&D Center China Academy of Sciences.
