1. Market Highlights
Under the coronavirus outbreak, most traders and downstream consumers delayed to return to the market in February. Prices of CRC and HGI coil recorded a downward trend in Chinese leading markets dragged by dim demand. However, most steel mills kept producing and saw very high stocks by the end of this month. Market participants also faced much pressure from tight cash flow and showed little optimism for the coming market.
In the international market, CRC and HGI coil prices in Malaysia, Vietnam and India fell discouraged by the weakened demand. Chinese steel mills lowered export prices to attract orders forced by the bad situation in domestic market.
