Vietnam's steel production to grow by 6-8% in 2020

According to Vietnam Steel Association, Vietnam's Steel production is expected to grow slightly by about 6-8% YOY in 2020.
The global steel market slowed down last year and the steel consumption may not improve in the first quarter, the association said.
Vietnam's crude steel production is expected to approach 18 million tons in 2020, including about 17.1 million tons of hot rolled steel. Vietnam will continue importing raw materials such as iron ore (nearly 17 million tons) and scrap steel (about 5 million tons) to make steel this year.
