China silicon metal industry had a hard time in 2019. The demand of silicon metal decreased evidently both domestically and internationally under a downward economic trend. Because of over expansion of capacity, the prices were at low level in the most time of 2019. In the meantime, the export prices decreased hugely, and also kept at a low level because of sluggish demand of foreign consumers. With the weakened economy, high grade silicon metal took the greatest impact because of its high prices, and many consumers decided to downgrade their consumption.
