Prices for section steel and steel pipe only witnessed narrow changes during the month, amid an inactive market. With the approach of the Spring Festival holiday, end users retreated from the market in succession from the middle of the month, and few deals were concluded. Not being confident of the market prospect, traders were cautious about supplementing inventories and eager to conclude deals. Reporting limited profits caused by firm raw materials' prices but decreased prices for finished steel, mills were less active in producing and some small ones halted production in advance.
