According to relative news, Xiangcheng District in Zhangzhou, Fujian plans to foster a steel industry park with Saobao Group and Zhangzhou Minguang as the leading companies, and strives to build a 100 billion-ton modern steel industry cluster with annual output values of RMB100 billion (USD14.52 billion) in order to revitalize steel industry.
Xiangcheng District entrusts Zhangzhou Planning Institute to formulate a development plan for the steel industry park covering a total area of 18 square kilometers and sort out over 3,333,333 square meters of development land in order to further optimize functional zones, set up steel smelting industry zones, downstream steel deep processing industry zones and steel cultural tourism zones and improve the surrounding infrastructure facilities.
In the process of building the steel industry base, Xiangcheng will always insist on supporting enterprises such as Sanbao Group and Zhangzhou Minguang to improve industry value chains, focusing on serving the Kebao Metal Cold-Rolled Silicon Steel Project, Zhangzhou Minguang Short-Process Fine Steel Strip Project and other steel industry projects in order to form a production and deep-processing base of corrosion-resistant steel and special steel, provide high-quality raw materials for downstream steel enterprises and gradually build a comprehensive industry park integrating production, processing, trade, R&D, teaching, cultural and tourism.
