Zenith Steel to build green fine steel project in Haimen, Nantong

On the morning of January 18, Haimen Government and Zenith Steel signed a business agreement which marked a new phase of the company's green fine steel project to be built in Haimen, Nantong.
According to the capacity replacement program released by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu on December 11, 2019, Zenith Steel plans to build one 2,300m3 blast furnace, two 2,400m3 blast furnaces and three 190-ton rotary furnaces in Haimen Port New District to form iron capacity of 6.06Mtpy and steel capacity of 5.85Mtpy. At the same time, Zenith Steel will remove iron capacity of 7.62Mtpy and steel capacity of 7.355Mtpy at its old project sites.
