The heavy air pollution emergency command office of Wu'an decided to strengthen level-II emergency response control from 8:00 a.m. January 16-20 under the premise of ensuring safety production. For iron and steel enterprises, the level-I (red alert) emergency response shall be executed from 12 a.m. January 15-19 with emission reduction intensified and sintering machines and pellet production halted; Coking companies shall extend the coking time for 48 hours.
