China, U.S. sign phase one economic and trade agreement

On 15 January local time, Liu He, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Vice Premier and chief of the Chinese side of the China-U.S. comprehensive economic dialogue, signed the China-U.S. phase one economic and trade agreement with U.S. President Trump in the East Room of the White House.
The agreement consists of nine chapters, such as intellectual property right, technology transfer, food and agricultural products, financial service, exchange rate and transparency, trade expansion, bilateral assessment and dispute settlement.
