The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region recently issued an implementation plan for the high-quality development of traditional industries
The plan also requires that metallurgical industry should increase output value to around 420 billion yuan (60.67 billion US dollars) by 2020; iron and steel industry should keep annual production capacity in the range of 40-50 million tonnes; ferroalloy industry should strictly control new production capacity and upgrade equipment; primary aluminum industry should keep annual production capacity at around 10 million tonnes and aluminum post-processing capacity at 7 million tonnes.
