1. Market Highlights
Prices for CRC and HGI coil prices in North China and East China moved up gradually in December supported by the relatively tight supply, while those in South China kept falling this month after a sharp rise in the previous month. Prices gap between different regions fell back this month. Steel mills announced to lift list prices for January production on increased prices in the spot market.
In the international market, CRC and HGI coil prices in Malaysia, Vietnam and India tended to move up and Chinese steel mills tried to hike export prices accordingly. However, overseas market did not perform actively when the long holiday for the Christmas came.
