CNBM starts first phase construction of cadmium telluride power generation glass project in Ya'an

On 26 December, 2019, CNBM broke ground for its 300MW-per-annum cadmium telluride power generation glass project in Sichuan Ya'an Economic Development Zone.
The project owns a design production capacity of 600MW and a total investment of RMB3 billion (USD0.43 billion). The first phase project covers an area of about 169mu and will build a 300MW-per-annum cadmium telluride power generation glass production line and its supporting facilities, which will be mainly used to produce power generation glass.
In 2019, CNBM planned to build a cadmium telluride power generation glass project in Ya'an, Sichuan and Hunan respectively. On the morning of 28 October, 2019, the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase construction of cadmium telluride thin film solar power generation glass project was held in Liling. The project has a total scale of 1GW and the first phase will construct 300MW.
