On January 3, Shandong Iron and Steel Group held its annual business meeting in Jinan. 58 key clients in Chinese iron and steel supply chain including Shanxi Coking Coal, Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group and Yankuang Group and 26 key clients in overseas iron and steel supply chain including Rio Tinto, Vale SA and BHP attended the meeting and discussed about win-win cooperation. Shandong Iron and Steel Group has four strategic products types including plate and strip, section steel, special steel and construction steel. The company is a well-known plate production base and H-beam steel production base in China. In 2019, Shandong Iron and Steel Group expected to produce 25.85 million tons of iron, 27.20 million tons of steel and 26.89 million tons of products and reach an operating income of RMB175 billion (USD25.15 billion).
