On December 24, the annual cargo throughput of Rizhao port in Shandong exceeded 400 million tons, realizing a new historical leap in port production.
The annual cargo throughput of Rizhao port in Shandong has reached the annual target of 400 million tons seven days in advance, including 130 million tons of ore, 55 million tons of crude oil and 37 million tons of coal, all of which are among the top in coastal ports in China.
Rizhao port is an important coal export port in China with a throughput capacity of more than 45 million tons. It has two special berths for 150,000t of coal with the deepest water depth and the largest berth capacity in China and one for 50,000t of coal, creating a national record of 9,486tph coal shipment, known as "Rizhao port efficiency" . With the reconstruction of the railway in the port area and the development and construction of the south area of Shijiu port area, Rizhao port will realize the direct entry of 10,000t of cargo ship into the port area, and the coal throughput capacity will reach more than 100 million tons.
