Handan upgrades heavy pollution weather emergency response II to I

According to the notice released by the Heavy Pollution Weather Emergency Direction Center of Handan on December 24, Environment Monitoring Center of Handan, Ecology and Agriculture and Meteorology Center of Handan and expert team expected the diffusion condition to keep worsening and the air quality would remain heavy or above level after discussion and consultation. Heavy Pollution Weather Emergency Direction Center of Handan decided to upgrade heavy pollution weather emergency response II (orange) to I (red) from 14:00 p.m. of December 24, 2019 and make the management and control measures more strict. The removal time will be noticed later.
Key measures for management and control include:
1. Key enterprises in the list of Handan's production adjustment and control plan for key industries from September to December of 2019 should strictly implement these measures. Enterprises and facilities that are out of production should continue suspending production. Other enterprises and facilities should implement emission reduction measures of the red alert (Level I).
2. Enterprises should minimize transport capacity based on production and forbid the use of heavy duty trucks that in and below the level of China's fourth stage motor vehicle emission standards.
