Customs Tariff Commission: To lower some import tariffs from Jan. 1st

Approved by the State Council, Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council released a notice recently that China will lower import tariffs on some goods from 1 January, 2020 in order to promoted high-quality trade development.
According to the notice, aiming at increasing imports, stimulating import potential and optimizing import structure, China will implement temporary import tariffs that are lower than the most-favored-nation tariffs on more than 850 products from 1 January, 2020.
China will also further lower most-favored-nation import tariffs on 176 information technology products from 1 July, 2020 and adjust temporary import tariffs on some information technology products accordingly.
