Hebei launches heavy pollution weather emergency response II

On December 11, the office for air pollution prevention and control of Hebei issued a notice. The notice asked cities in region 1 (including Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Hengshui, Xingtai, Handan, Dingzhou, Xinji and Xiong'an New Area) and region 2 (Tangshan, Langfang, Cangzhou and Qinhuangdao) to issue heavy pollution weather orange alert and launch emergency response II from 12:00 p.m. of December 13. The time to remove the alert will be determined on the basis of discussion and consultation.
The notice mentioned that during the emergency response period, companies and projects on the positive list of ecological and environmental regulation or protecting people's livelihood should ensure the normal production, ensure the effective operation of pollution prevention and control facilities, implement pollution prevention and control measures strictly and make no production restriction, production suspension, inspection and interruption. The office encourages companies to reduce emission initiatively and definitely avoid "one size fits all".
