Baotou Aluminum Industrial Park expects to complete construction of solid waste residue field by late 2019

In May 2018, Baotou Aluminum Industry Park began to prepare for the construction of a solid waste residue yard in the park in accordance with the rectification requirements of the central environmental protection department.
The project started construction in September 2018 and covers an area of 155.24mu, with the total investment of 118 million yuan (16.78 million US dollars). The first ash reservoir with an area of 300,000 square meters was constructed and put into operation in December 2018. The second ash reservoir with an area of 600,000 square meters entered into the ending stage on November 30, 2019 and will be completed by the end of the year. After completion, the project can meet the general solid waste storage conditions generated by enterprises within the planning scope of the park.
