Dongfeng Motor to increase RMB100 million of investment in Dongfeng Hyper

Dongfeng Motor announced on December 5th that it will increase investment of RMB200 million (USD28.40 million) in Dongfeng Hyper New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Dongfeng Hyper) jointly with Beijing Hyper Strong Technology Co., Ltd. (Hyper Strong) in accordance with relative share proportion. Thus, Dongfeng Motor and Hyper Strong will increase investment of RMB100 million (USD14.20 million) in Dongfeng Hyper respectively. After the investment increase, Dongfeng Hyper will has a total registered capital of RMB300 million (USD42.60 million) and its 50% of shares will be held by Dongfeng Motor, the same as before.
According to relative data, Dongfeng Hyper was founded in October 2012 and its business scope covers the production, processing, installment and technology development of power battery systems as well as the recycling and using of waste power storage batteries used in vehicles and waste electronics.
Dongfeng Motor mainly wants to do new energy vehicle business, boost new energy vehicle sales and realize its medium-term plan through Dongfeng Hyper.
