Chinese stainless steel prices witnessed a downward trend during this month on lower raw material costs and the decrease in steel mills' list prices. As raw material prices of nickel went down continuously this month, major steel mills like Taigang Stainless reduced their prices accordingly. However, seeing the continuous price decrease, customers without urgent need for materials were mostly holding a wait-and-see attitude and placing orders sparingly. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles and the market inventory kept low.
