MEE: Measures to cope with heavy air pollution should be differentiated

The fight against air pollution relies more on law-based and accuracy-oriented approaches, said Liu Youbin, spokesman of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE), on November 29. MEE earlier issued guideline on enhancing pollution control and emergency emission reduction when heavy air pollution occurs. The guideline calls for differentiated measures to cope with heavy air pollution. MEE said it will facilitate the faster upgrade and transformation in key sectors and make every effort to reduce the emission of air pollutants.
