1. Market Highlights
Chinese tantalum concentrate import market witnessed higher prices this month. Chinese tantalum oxide and metal prices increased further. Encouraged by the rebounding demand from downstream smelters, niobium concentrate import prices increased, which caused the niobium oxide prices to increase. Chinese ferroniobium prices decreased slightly due to the poor demand from downstream consumers.
Due to the rebounding demand from end users, European tantalite and American tantalum metal market prices increased. Dampened by the soft demand from end users, European ferroniobium market saw lower prices in October.
